When is a vertical lift a better choice than an
incline lift?

When space is available, a vertical lift is less expensive than an incline lift.

How high can the lifts travel?

  • For a vertical lift : Up to 12 feet.
  • For a incline lift , there is no limit.
  • For a portable lift , the maximum height is six feet.

How much weight can each lift hold?

  • Vertical lift : Up to 750 pounds.
  • Incline lift : Up to 500 pounds.
  • Portable lift : Up to 750 pounds.

Are lift inspections required by law?

For commercial applications - yes. The State of Ohio , Kentucky , and Indiana inspect all installations.

For residential homes - no. This makes your careful selection of a lift contractor more important.
